Audition here for ThunderClan; Deputy, Medicine Cat, Medicine Cat Apprentice!
Deputy Audition: There is a drought. Your Clan is growing weak, and journeying to the lake and back is difficult, time consuming, and wearisome. Elders are dying and kits are growing ill while warriors seem to be losing strength for hunting. Your leader believes that the only way to save the Clan is to expand your territory so that there is more food to catch. Your leader wants to begin siphoning and rationing the fresh-kill so that the warriors will have the most because your leader wants their strength to be up for an upcoming battle; there is a battle planned for a new moon on the other Clan’s camp to prove your Clan’s strength. This is a clear violation of the warrior code, but it may help your Clan in the end. What do you do?
Medicine Cat Audition: You find out that one of your fellow medicine cats has been relaying confidential information to the leader of his rival Clan, and he has threatened anyone who dares to speak up about this because his Clan comes first. You aren't sure what he and his leader are planning, but you know that you are in the possibility of great danger if you bring up the topic to anyone and it gets mentioned. It is possible that his Clan is merely growing ill, and this rival Clan is too proud to ask for help from any of you, or it could be a plan to conquer territory; you do not know. A trip to the Moonpool is soon approaching, and then, shortly after that, a Gathering. Thus far, StarClan has been silent to you. What do you do?

Your Name: Quicksilver Your Cat's Name: Quicksilver Position You're Applying For: Deputy Your RP Experience: Very high, considering I've been roleplaying for about eight years now. Sample RP: The greenleaf sun beat down hard on Quicksilver's pelt, making her tongue loll from her maw like a mouse-brained dog. The sky was robin egg blue without a cloud in sight - the meek chance of rain was out of the question. Early greenleaf had been terrible already. The drought brought anger to all four Clans, which only brought on bad tempers. Which, in the end, could lead to something deadly, such as a battle. A shiver raced down Quicksilver's spine despite the hot sun. She had never actually been in a fight even though she had been trained to be a warrior - they were always just fake little scenarios with her mother - so the thought of one terrified the young she-cat. If it came to that, however, she would have to fight for ThunderClan because that was what all cats of the Clan had to do. Simple enough.
Though the day was peaceful so far, Quicksilver could smell bitterness behind every shadow. Because of the long drought, every warrior had to go to and from the lake the entire day to bring back water for the other cats who couldn't walk there themselves. There were very few cats out hunting if any at all, which was the main concern for her at the moment. She knew that the ThunderClan leader had other things on his mind - such as an upcoming battle that hung above their heads like a thunderstorm if one of the other Clans were to get angry with them - but she was calmer about that than him. Her worry for the Clan was enough to send her to the lake and back to the camp ten times a day if she had to. The task was tedious and painful, but it got the job done.
With her mouth full of dripping moss, Quicksilver padded down the steep slope into ThunderClan's camp. Immediately she spotted a dappled queen racing toward her. "Thank StarClan you brought that in time. My kits are dying of thirst!" She took the moss from the deputy and padded away into the nursery, where she heard the loud, delighted purrs of a group of kittens. Quicksilver knew that the she-cat was over-exaggerating the situation and was merely worried for her litter, but Quicksilver felt a stab in her side for Patchstrike. It was probably tough being a mother that couldn't provide for her kits the way she should be.
Right when Quicksilver swung her head around, she saw the ThunderClan leader, Emberstar, padding toward her. She dipped her head toward him out of respect, but he disregarded it with a quick flick of his tail and meowed, "You should have been out hunting, Quicksilver. You're one of our best mousers - you shouldn't be wasting your time caring for your Clanmates. The apprentices and younger warriors will take care of your job for you." Emberstar paused, as if he wanted to say more, but probably decided to keep it out. "In the meantime, I wish to speak with you. I've decided that we need to split the prey among us that can fight and give the last of it to the queens, elders, and kits. That way we will have the strength to fight and hunt for future days. I've decided that we will raid WindClan's camp later to prove our strength, so pl-"
"Emberstar, you know this is against the warrior code! We're supposed to feed our Clanmates first - the kits, queens, and elders get the food then we do! It's not supposed to be the other way around. I don't care if we don't have enough food, taking care of our Clan is what we are supposed to do. That's why you're the leader and I'm your deputy. We weren't given our positions just so we could break the warrior code for no reason - we have to be smart. Think about it, Emberstar. We can last another greenleaf, like we lasted the last one and the last one, and all of the ones before those." The fur on her pelt began to rise, and as much as she tried she couldn't make it lay flat. "Listen to me. I'm sure if we made an announcement about it right now then the entire Clan would agree with me, not you Emberstar." As much as she liked and respected the ThunderClan leader, she couldn't bring herself to accept his decisions.
Emberstar looked down at her with a spark of anger in his eyes, like he still thought that breaking the warrior code was the only thing to do. Before he could say anything, Quicksilver quickly calmed herself down and meowed slowly, "Look, I'm sure that WindClan has enough troubles of their own lately. They don't have any shelter to protect themselves from the sun, so they'll be weaker than us. But that doesn't mean we should invade their camp," she added hastily. "You're right when you say that we need food, though. But we shouldn't take the rations from any cat that isn't a warrior. You know that's the right thing to do, even if we're starving. We're supposed to take care of the Clan." She gazed up at him with shining silver eyes, hoping that he would agree with her.
By now, most of the cats had stopped what they were doing and gathered around their leader and deputy in a loose circle. Those that were collecting moss or hunting dropped their bundles and padded over to see what the commotion was all about. "What's that about a battle with WindClan?" an elder yowled above the hushed murmurs. "Well, I thought I heard something about less fresh-kill for us," a nosy kit muttered while his mother whisked him back to the nursery with stern eyes. Quicksilver glanced back up at her leader and meowed firmly, "Well, why don't you tell them right now, Emberstar? Tell them about how we're going to raid WindClan's territory and cut down the food for the elders, queens, and kits and let the warriors have it."
Shocked gasps greeted Quicksilver's words - exactly what she had suspected they would do. It was against the warrior code and was just plain wrong, so what else did Emberstar expect? Friendly compliments on how his plan was wonderful? A cat would have to be a mouse-brain if they thought this was a good thing, because it wasn't. Emberstar shuffled his paws, but after a moment he regained his composure. "That's right." He raised his voice to a yowl so that cats in the back could hear. "Quicksilver is right. We're going to invade WindClan's camp to prove what good fighters we are. The other Clans will fear us and give us their fresh-kill. But until that happens, we need to cut back on the food intake from our queens, elders, and kits so our warriors have strength to go another day and prepare for the upcoming battle."
Angry outbursts followed his words, too many to pin down at once. A few of the warriors were silent and lowered their heads, as if they secretly agreed with their leader but didn't want to voice their opinion. Quicksilver was disgusted with them for only caring about food when they should care about their Clan. "Why would we want to do that, Emberstar? No one will follow you if you want to carry out your plan, mark my words." The voice belonged to an older warrior called Blackfang. All of the elders were shaking their heads and muttering, "Well, back in my day..." Clearly most of the cats disagreed with Emberstar spare two or three of the warriors. "We're supposed to care for our Clan, not destroy it!" Sandpaw yowled bravely, voicing Quicksilver's own thoughts. The deputy was very proud of the apprentice for speaking her mind in front of such older cats.
When all of the noise calmed down, Emberstar took a step forward, his tail raised. "Very well. I have seen that this is a bad decision and it will not be carried out. Thank-you, everyone, for letting me know that I've been foolish. But please thank Quicksilver if anyone, because she was the one who I told first, and said to me that it wrong right away." Emberstar dipped his head to his deputy. Quicksilver felt her heart speed up as the cats went up and nuzzled her chin. She was proud that her Clan had did the right thing, and she had helped turn Emberstar's mind around and help him see the good. Quicksilver was glad that she was the ThunderClan deputy, and wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
OOC: Didn't know if I was supposed to make a fake leader or use Emberstar. If you'd like me to change it, please let me know <3
